Hello, everyone. How are you doing today?
Me, I'm fine by "Okagesama".
Today, I am going to introduce you "Okagesama".
It is a Japanese word that comes from Buddhism.
"Kage" means a shadow in English,
and "Sama" is a word to show respect.
It is a metaphor for the objects and everyone
who help create the situation.
For example, when you're outside on a hot day,
you look for shade to cool off, right?
Some people are oblivious to the connection to it,
such as the sun and the tree or building that create the shade.
There are many things that are connected to each other,
and we forget to realize it, and be thankful for it.
As human beings, we forget that all things
have a big impact on each other.
We live in a circle that intertwines with each other
from objects to living things.
When someone asks you,
"Hi, how are you doing?",
you can say not only
"Hi, I'm fine by `Okagesama`." in good times,
but also "Hi, I'm hanging in there by `Okagesama`."
in hard times.
Remember, we're not all alone.
We are able to walk through our life to the fullest
by "Okagesama" on all occasions
both good and hard times.
